Oversee 5 drilling rigs.Operating in High Pressure High Temperature field consisting of three sub fields. Jinqiu field: Tight sandstone, mostly vertical high pressure wells.Fushun field: Shale, Horizontal high pressure high temp wells.Zitong field: H2S, sandstone, vertical high pressure high temperature wellsResponsible for continuity throughout field in all aspects of drilling.Transfer of knowledge concerning under balanced / managed pressure drilling.Present new approaches to drilling such as mud weight, equipment necessary, and mind set.Lead by example in teamwork, safety, and environmental compliance.

As Field Drilling Superintendent both in North Louisiana (Haynesville Shale) and South Texas (Eagleford Shale) was responsible for providing field supervision to multiple drilling rigs/sites and personnel/contractor services on the rig to ensure all drilling operations were executed in accordance with the approved well plans and procedures. Responsible for troubleshooting deviations from the well plan, enforcing safety and operational procedures, compliance for all workers on the rig site, developing/mentoring new personnel, controlling costs, setting goals, and collaborating with Office Staff to reach said goals.

Provided advice and direction to external customer and third-party wellsite colleagues as appropriate. Provided resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems at wellsite where analysis of data required having a broad knowledge of the product line tool's and service's. Directly represented Sedco Drilling on board the unit and was directly responsible for the overall operation, management, and safety of the unit offshore. Ensured that all operations proceed in a safe manner, and was responsible for correcting or notifying responsible parties of any unsafe acts and/or conditions which existed.Supervised and monitored rig positioning and anchor mooring or preloading and leg penetration during rig movement and placement. Planned and supervised rig activities such as repairs, daily maintenance, rigging up or down, etc. Ensured all activities were coordinated with a minimal loss of time or effort.
