To work with the project development teams in the UK and abroad to ensure the product under development is fit for purpose and achieves customer satisfaction. To develop product validation test plans and ensure these meet the requirements of the Product Design Specification (PDS). To work with the customer support team to highlight areas for improvement with current product in the market. • Writing or amending Test methods to ensure the product in development will meet the expected requirements as laid out in the PDS.• Planning the Test plan to ensure all elements of the product conform to Kenwood NPD program.• To gather historical data of returns levels, design issues and the improvements, safety issues the improvements for similar products to those being developed. • risk assessments to ensure the product poses minimal or no risk to the general public, both in their intended and foreseeable miss-use.• Attend Design Faults Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) for new projects.• Reviewing the prototypes and highlight areas of concern that will likely pose high returns/complaints, safety risks, poor performance issues or do not meet the requirements of the PDS.• To continue to review the implemented improvements and highlight areas for improvement throughout the development process.• To investigate proposed improvements with the team to ensure the product is developed to best meet the expectations of the customer. • Delivering continuous improvement and increased product reliability with the use of corrective actions and root cause analysis across multiple departments. • To be available to travel, mainly Germany, Italy and China

To review with the Conformance Engineer ‘New Product Development’ samples. To investigate customer complaint and issues coming from, (The Service Technical – Early warning system, Retailer highlighted issues, CED complaints/ enquiries, internal comments and complaints passed down through the head of Quality and the Safety committee concerns) and report the findings to the Product Conformance Engineer.To assist the conformance engineer and the QAA team in the quality control process.To assist in the Risk assessments report, FMEA and Test methods.To Write Rework instructions as required for re-plugging and inspection reports.

Monitor and plan all shipments from our suppliers into the Kenwood warehouse or subsidiary. Supervise the 4 members of the Shipping Department. Create and update Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to measure the operation of the department. Write or check Work instructions for the department processors.Ensure the deliveries are set up on the system correctly. The warehouse system (Click) is updated from the (SAP). These cannot be amended by the 3rd party warehouse. Set up the correct freight rate charges within SAP. Liaise with other departments such as warehouse (base in Leicester), sales, accounts, stock control and quality to resolve day-to-day issues. Such as rework, bonding suspect stock and stock control issues!

To manage the stock into the UK warehouse, through a team of between 6 and 16 employees, this would fluctuate depending on the business requirements. Manage the all aspects of the warehouse inbound process (within Budgetary constraints). Arrange delivery of all shipments from the dock yard into the either the Havant or Birmingham warehouse. While ensuring the correct stock is prioritised and brought into relevant warehouse to meet the requirements of the sales team. Transfer stock between warehouses to ensure stock availability for the relevant orders.In 2006 the warehouses were finally consolidated into one warehouse in Magna Park Leicester. I was heavily involved in the pre-move testing the new warehouse system and the hand over to the new warehouse.

To manage a team of between 6 and 16 staff based at Havant (depending on the time of year as the work load is very seasonal). To manage all aspects of the inbound process of Havant warehouse, from liaising with the sales team to ensure stock is received in time for their requirements, to arranging delivery of shipments from the dock yard into the Havant warehouse.

To monitor and ensure the incoming products conform to the quality standards as laid out by the Kenwood business, through a supplier performance system.To manage quality improvement initiatives within the manufacturing departments and facilitate changes in process methods, component design and manufacture, which will help reduce costs and/ or improve quality.Chair weekly improvement meetings with supervision, design engineering, production control, purchasing and quality assurance representatives. To monitor and initiate the required improvements discussed at the meeting.To compile work instructions as required for Kenwood business, using relevant computer software.To manage abnormal rework operations both at the Havant site and at various retail sites as required.

On line inspection of finished product and component. Mould shop component inspection. To recover re-usable part of defective components e.g. beater shafts form poorly moulded beaters. This required the making of press tools and other devises. Where possible rectify defective components and make good defective products. Inspect components are fit for purpose. Rework finished goods to sort market requirements as required. Inspect finished goods (following customer complaints) either on the Havant site, at the Kenwood warehouse or on occasion at our customer’s warehouse.
