In 1986, he was promoted to the position of Training Administrator and in that job he produced and marketed the first edition of Shell’s Southern Operations Training Manual, which involved establishing a computer database of some 200 training courses including vital ISO safety compliance. The completed Manual was distributed throughout the Shell organization.
