A Chartered Civil Engineer and UK Registered Ground Engineering Specialist with over 14 years experience in the construction industry. I'm currently an Associate at WSP in the Geotechnics & Tunnelling team.I have experience in all phases of geotechnical and geo-environmental projects including desk studies, supervision of site investigations and interpretative report writing for projects of various size and value across the UK. I have particular experience in geotechnical design and analysis using the latest modelling software for various applications, including ground movement assessments, retaining wall and foundation design, basement impact assessments, reinforced earth design, earthworks design and verification and slope stability analysis. I am also involved in completing geotechnical and structural design checks for both temporary and permanent works, and I've assisted in technical support for a number of litigation cases and contractual claims. Working previously for National Highways, I have provided technical oversight and certification services for geotechnical renewals, major projects and third party projects on the Strategic Road Network, ensuring that solutions offer the best technical and commercial value.In addition, I've experience of large scale rock mass characterisation, Q-assessments, kinematic analysis and temporary support design for international tunnel and cavern engineering projects.
