My practice focuses on on heavy construction, infrastructure and significant realestate development projects in both domestic and international markets. I act as counsel to owners and developers, construction managers, general contractors and design professionals. Recent projects include:- acting as Owner's counsel on a $300 million port and cruise ship terminal construction project- acting as Owner's counsel on the $1.5 billion expansion of a commuter rail line in New York- acting as Contractor's counsel on a design, build, finance and maintain (DBFM) toll road project in Aruba- acting as purchaser's counsel for the $230 million acquisition of the Baccarat Hotel in New York City at a time when the hotel was under construction- acting as Contractor's counsel in an arbitration arising from the construction of a 70-megawatt photo-voltaic power plant in Santiago, Chile- acting as underwriter's construction adviser in connection with a $115 million bond offering to finance the construction of a new hotel- serving as construction counsel to two New York City museums in connection with major expansions- the construction of numerous hotels and luxury mixed-use developments in the New York City metropolitan areaMy practice includes transactions, dispute resolution and project advice.I am the past Co-Chair of the International Bar Association's Human Rights Law Committee and I am a member of its International Construction Projects Committee. I am also a regular speaker at the IBA's annual conferences.
