For the past several years, I have been teaching high and middle school students at various schools and locations in China. I have transitioned my previous computer training experiences into a new direction by helping teenagers and my Chinese teaching counterparts improve their English language communication skills as well as overcoming their shyness of speaking in front of foreign people. They have alo been my teachers of Chinese culture as well as daily life here in this wonderful country of theirs. I have learned much about the people here as well as learning, although slowly, some of the Chinese language. I have also help to prepare some of the students prepare and practice for interviews with foreign English language schools by holding mock interviews and answer coaching sessions, proof-reading their essays, and giving general advice about confidence building, public speaking, and attitude preparation for the actual meeting with the school interviewers. One of my students actually won a scholarship to a Canadian school with my assistance.Specialties: 5 years experience using ORACLE RDMS in several different business sectors; 2 years educational experience using Firebird RDMS, ODBC, .NET addons; 6 years experience in Help Desk/Technical Support; 13 years experience writing technical documents for source code documentation, training guides, software development guides, problem solution guides, and one project proposal section.
