After graduating high school I started to wonder what I wanted to do with the life I was given and in this search I found out I really enjoyed creating ideas for any kind of topic I was given. Therefore, as I attended community college I declared my major to be in Marketing and Advertisement as my interest aligned with this major.Another reason why I choose Marketing and Advertising as my major is due to the feeling I get when being in a group setting. As when I am in a group it makes me thrilled and excited. As a group provides me the opportunity of meeting new people and learning about others viewpoints or ideas, as well as sharing mine. This play perfectly for my strengths as one of them is know as Relator or someone who loves meeting new people. So For example, I have worked with The National Honors Society Known as Phi Theta Kappa or PTK, while at Southern Union State Community College, which allowed me to communicate my ideas and understand others. As well as gain an understanding of what goes on behind the scenes to make an event happen. Therefore, through this experience and my strengths I can better understand the way I should market or advertise a certain product or service in the future. But once I graduated SUSCC and was accepted into Auburn University I had to say goodbye to the people I knew and start over from square one. However, this was not to difficult for me as Auburn University Students and Faculty welcomed me with open arms and I was able to make new friends and explore my interest further through my Major classes and being around people in general. Therefore, giving me the confidence to continue forward on this journey and being able to say I can call this place my second home.So through my time in college learning Business and Marketing skills, as well as pursuing my passion and creativity for creating ideas with groups or others individuals. I can say I look forward to where this field will take me next.
