I've enjoyed a successful career as a technical communicator, UX consultant, development team contributor, and cross-functional collaborator at several innovative software companies.I thrive on both the process of learning and understanding that’s at the heart of technical communication and the challenge of recasting complexity into accessible concepts, structure, and detail to fully engage and assist any user. The highly usable content I've developed for a very wide range of technologies includes end user manuals, video scripts, sys admin procedures, white papers, OS references, classroom decks, API docs, and everything in between. I assimilate new subject matter, adopt new tooling, and become productive fast. I understand the critical importance of defining audiences and use cases. I know what it takes to plan projects and meet deadlines, design and write from scratch, cultivate and learn from SMEs, develop effective standards, procedures, and style that get and keep everyone on the same page. I am a very capable editor and reviewer. I recognize that collaboration among smart, insightful, committed people in varied roles is the glue that holds tech work together. I am self-motivated, organized, and meticulous. I know when to take the initiative and when consultation is called for.
