During the past 20 years, he has developed and presented over 1,000 training programs for industry, government, not-for-profit and human service agencies, and academic institutions on the subjects of leadership, motivation, conflict management, career development and life planning, effective communications, outcomes-based strategic planning, teambuilding, coaching and counseling skills, and humor and change (among other topics). Recent clients include the U.S. Army, Saint-Gobain North America, Northwest Savings Bank, and the Health Information Management Association. He earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from SUNY Buffalo, with an emphasis on leadership and organizational development.Bob is currently the Director of the Graduate Public Administration Program, and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, for the Downstate (NYC area) Graduate School. He teaches in both the Public Administration and Counseling Programs. He is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), specializing in services for domestic violence victims and offenders, and is certified through the Department of Homeland Security as a domestic violence instructor trainer. He has also served as Associate Vice President of Research and Sponsored Programs, coordinating outreach and liaison efforts with industrial and government research sponsors, interacting with foundations and economic development agencies, and administering grants and contracts. He has published numerous articles related to research and economic development, as well as articles on leadership, humor, change, and effective communications in the workplace, and has been a contributing editor to the Olean Times Herald in the area of management development.
