My career choices have lead me to the exciting field of Information Technology. After working as a Campus Safety and Security Office at Salve Regina University for almost a decade I decided it was time for a change. There was an opening that came up for the Information Technology Department and the Director Glenn Clarke was willing to take a chance on hiring me on. After taking the job I was sent to various trainings, certifications and conferences to further improve my skills in the field. By the time I moved on to the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) I became an HP Elite line certified repair technician, an Apple Certified Mac Technician with a specialized certification in the MacBook Pro with retina display and gained a world of experience with imaging software such as Symantec Ghost and MSCCM as well as image customization. Once I moved on to NOC the emphasis shifted from imaging to server management and learning the ins and outs of various server interfaces. Now I'm managing our MS Exchange 2013 email server, the Cisco phone servers, AD, backup and file share servers, creating group policy objects and applying them to organizational units, file recovery and video footage requests from our security cameras. In both positions I also handle HelpDesk tickets, end user hardware and software support, deployment of equipment and instruction.
Listed skills include Help Desk Support, Operating System Administration, Ghost Imaging, Sccm, and 4 others.
