Responsible for 7,000 acres, a daily population exceeding 40,000 and billions of dollars of public and private facilities. Leading the first redevelopment of RTP in over 50 years, ensuring its place at the forefront of technology and applied science, while also serving its historic mission to support the universities and create opportunities for all North Carolinians. Key Achievements:• Successfully attained legislative and local government approval for the redevelopment of RTP to better serve universities and economic growth.• Traveled across NC on a bus tour that reconnected RTP to universities, community colleges and communities across NC.• Secured $50M, the largest public private funding grant in RTP history.• Launched the Frontier, the largest open innovation community in the US.• Increased RTP activity with 21 new companies, 800 new jobs and over $1B in expansions; reducing Park vacancy from 34% to less than 10%.• Led focused strategic and communication planning that have reenergized the Park and the overall brand of the region.

Chief executive of the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR). Responsible for the land planning, development, zoning, permitting, financing, management, marketing and real estate negotiation on the 250-acre research park. Promoted in 201l to Associate Vice President, leading development and marketing of Clemson research parks and economic development projects across South Carolina. Transformed park from start-up to recognized success story. Responsible for recruiting the executive management team, developing the master plan, implementing a business and marketing plan. Executed the construction of over 760,000 square feet on site, with another 332,000 square feet in process. Announced 2,300 new jobs in the past seven years.Generated nearly $250M in public and private investment, with another $500M in development. Secured $4M in grants for a 60,000 square foot Center for Emerging Technologies, providing incubator space for new technology companies.Built award-winning facilities that incorporate unique “commons” spaces on site, including shared office and lab spaces, plazas, a cafe, a fitness center, public gallery, auditorium, rooftop garden and outdoor amphitheater. Recognized for architectural design and environmental sustainability.

Hired to the development team and ultimately promoted to top manager at the 1,334-acre Centennial Campus and Centennial Biomedical Campus. Led oversight of campus operations, providing space to 60 private and government organizations employing more than 1,500 employees.Coordinated development of over 1.48M square feet of space constructed in 17 major buildings with eight additional buildings opening, in construction, or design by the end of 2005.Integrated residential and a magnet middle school into the research park.
