Current• Guide a team of professionals to shorten cycle times, reduce costs and improve products and processes.• Interact with internal and external groups including DFF customers and the DFF management team to ensure that our customers are satisfied.• Assist with prioritizing, assigning and monitoring workflow including engineering and programming. • Work with and advise customer Engineering on DFM and GD&T; suggest design alternatives; redline customer drawings to support DFF's best processes, follow up on additional customer needs. • Work with new and existing casting suppliers to identify opportunities, process and quality improvements.• Work with QC and purchasing to identify and assist with auditing new casting, machining and sheet metal suppliers. • Assist with site visits (internal & external) along with tours of DFF. • Oversee shop layout and identify equipment needs; assist with the purchase of and schedule implementation.• Assist in troubleshooting problems with machining processes. • Seek new technologies, automation, engineering software, etc. • Provide technical sales support. • Oversee training; encourage mentoring.
