Managed functions in the clinical laboratory which included an ASCP certified medical technology school, an AABB accredited and FDA certified blood center, a tissue bank, and administrated managed a nuclear medicine department.

Served as medical lab technician from 1961 -1965 at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (2X), Washington, DC and Brooke General Hospital, Ft Sam Houston, Texas. Commissioned into the US Army Medical Services Corp in Sept 1965 and served as clinical laboratory officer until retirement in 1985. Last assignment (1972-85) was as laboratory/blood program officer (consultant) for US Army Health Services Command which included 38 MEDCEN/MEDDAC's and 22 FDA licensed blood banks. Other duty assignments included: USAH Ft. Jackson, SC; 6th Convalescent Center, Vietnam; 279th Station Hospital (USAH), Berlin; Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC; and Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, WA.
