Retired from full-time professional services, Dr. Bob Williams enjoyed a 20 year career as a practicing and teaching family physician and health services researcher. He was an NIH Principal Investigator, Vice Chair of a Medical School Department and Director of Research. In 1996, Bob left academics and joined the consulting world and during the following 22 years, Dr. Williams served as a senior consulting executive at Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, IBM, Deloitte Consulting US (national medical leader >10 years) and Deloitte Consulting UK. Bob has broad experience in the following areas:Engaging doctors and other clinicians in big changeValue-based care focused on strategy, operations, analytics and technology to start and maintain an ongoing population health enterpriseBroad health systems, health plan strategy and operations including margin improvement and regulatory issuesDr. Williams is respected for his demonstrated skills in not only engaging clinicians and other stakeholders, but also in facilitating them to making decisions in a timely fashion.In addition, Dr. Williams is experienced with all major electronic medical records. He recently spent 18 months in the United Kingdom focusing on electronic patient records and population health in the UK and in Western Europe.

I led the growth and development of our group of 30 Deloitte doctors. Architected our ealry approaches to engagins physicians in the design and implementation of electronic heatlh records. Also, I was a founding member of our leaders (actuarial, clinical, operation, health plan and analytics) who early on developed our appraoch to Value Based Care -- It takes a vilage!
