The OCS implementation is replacing email and calendaring, as well as replacing the existing hardware and operating system infrastructure. This implementation is the first full scale, production sized (over 25,000 users) Linux/OCS implementation in the California State University System. In this implementation we are using a phased approach to replace email and calendaring then implement the other features of OCS, such as shared files, web conferencing, utra search capabilities, wireless and voice access.I am responsible for coordination, development and deployment of all phases of this project including task implementation and prioritization. I am responsible for locating appropriate training for technical staff, as well as planning training for end users. I coordinate communications and advertising, keeping the campus community informed of project schedules, roll out dates and updates or changes that may affect the campus. I am responsible for creating and implementing policies and procedures that may occur due to the new OCS methodology or implementation. I am responsible for developing and managing the entire project budget.I am responsible for project tracking using Microsoft Project, and providing weekly project status reports.
