 Advanced the transition from construction to maintenance. Focused on the maintenance of the championship course, Fields East.  Managed the crew for a week including staff scheduling, irrigation scheduling, and applications scheduling. Coordinated and communicated the delivery of materials such as topdressing sand and fertilizer for use on the golf course. Operated general golf course maintenance equipment and specialized equipment such as a skid steer, backhoe, and excavator.  Executed the rerouting and reshaping of a creek that was threatening the structure of a green.  Assisted key staff in the fumigation, re-sprigging, and grow in of three TifEagle greens that were contaminated with NorthBridge bermudagrass.  Analyzed and conveyed information to help get greens moisture management dialed in. Undertook a large scale irrigation project to find old, failing decoders and replace them with the new generation.

 Assisted in the construction of key golf features such as bunkers, greens, tee boxes, fairways, etc. Gained viable knowledge on the sprigging and grow-in process of TifEagle greens and NorthBridge fairways. Learned several different ways to fix damage caused by winter kill. Attained experience on key pieces of construction equipment including skid steers, backhoes, and mini excavators. Involved in a large scale research project along-side Texas A&M AgriLife Extension to assess the viability of Zoysiagrass for putting surfaces.  Executed precise applications pertaining to IPM and fertility including insecticides, pesticides, herbicides, surfactants and both granular and foliar fertilizers.  Received weekly educational seminars from several reps around the industry to gain knowledge on the new products, projects, and outreach programs their companies are working on.  Bermudagrass putting surface moisture and fertility management.
