Area EH&S Manager LeadArea EH&S Manager Lead focused on managing a team of Area EH&S Managers to meet LOL- Feed EH&S goals, reduce risk, and to continue to drive our safety culture. Position is responsible for the supervision, development, and leadership of Area EH&S Managers. Responsible for managing safety and environmental programs for multiple Feed Plants and Distribution centers that align with corporate EH&S standards, ensures regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company requirements, and reduces EH&S risk.Job Description: Drive EH&S regulatory compliance and make sure supported facilities meet all Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements. Interface with Corporate and Plant Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, EH&S staff to ensure that hazards are identified, risks are appropriately managed, and EH&S regulatory requirements are met. Complete site focused audits. Work closely with Corporate EH&S on implementing key programs and initiatives. Assist with managing Feed Safety capital program, coordinate and conduct EH&S audits, risk assessments and define control measures to reduce risks. Assist plants with implementing critical risk reduction programs/processes such as SafeStart training, ergonomic risk assessments, contractor safety, environmental permit summaries, etc. Develop, align, and implement proactive programs that reduce Land O’Lakes’ risk profile. Participate in accident and incident investigations to ensure that the root cause(s) and management system failures are defined, so adequate corrective actions can be implemented to eliminate a recurrence. Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing Area Safety Managers. Fostering a spirit of teamwork and unity among team members. Developing and mentoring facility managers, safety supervisors, and enhances employee engagement through inclusive safety committees and behavioral programs. Provides input on EH&S direction, programs, and policies.
