I support process industry companies (mostly food and chemical industry) with improvement of operational results through continuous improvement programs: Increasing uptime of the production and packaging lines, reducing waste and give-away, improving product quality (less complaints), logistic and maintenance improvements. My approach is to support the client organisation as a facilitator, improving people's skills to develop a continuous improvement program that contains elements such as 5S (to provide a clean and safe workplace for improving), Performance Management to effectively manage operational KPI's at all levels on a daily basis, and effective improvement projects (Kaizens, SGA) to increase performance.I have built up my experience in this field of work during the 11 years that I have worked with ARV Group, a consulting firm that originates from Akzo Nobel Engineering and has proven to be a very effective partner for large companies to obtain continuous improvement with substantial and lasting results. Before working with ARV Group, I built up experience as a process engineer within Akzo Nobel at 2 different plants of the base-chemicals business unit. During those 7 years I have been busy almost every day with improving the plant results in a technological manner: increasing yield, increasing energy efficiency, reducing environmental impact of the plants. Improvements were often organized as projects and involved a lot of cooperation with operators, maintenance people, engineers.I have the skills and experience to support people at both workfloor and management to enhance their ability to set up and execute improvement projects and effectively manage the operational KPI's, delivering concrete and substantial results, creating a continuous improvement culture.
