I'm a passionate cybersecurity professional with over 30 years of experience that has served as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the Department of the Interior's Business Center. Served as the subject matter expert for all cybersecurity related issues for the Financial Management Directorate. Managed day-to-day security operations which included assessment and accreditations (A&A), continuous monitoring, vulnerability scans, penetration testing, risk assessments, and ensured compliance with the Federal Information Systems Management Act (FISMA). Managed and oversaw the development, implementation, and enforcement of enterprise information security policies, standards, processes and solutions that ensured industries best security practices. Managed multiple teams including forensics, security administrators, technical support, and an internal audit team that ensured our compliance with all federal laws, directives and external audits. Received no findings on five (5) consecutive SSAE-16 audits. Managed the Information Systems Security Line of Business that analyzed, and assessed organization's security postures resulting in improvements to give them a best-in-class security posture. Oversaw the day-to-day operations and security for the $45M/year Financial Management Line of Business which included a suite of business management systems, including Oracle Federal Financials (OFF). Served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for U.S. Army Space Command. Managed information systems at the headquarters and all 20 worldwide locations. Designed and implemented the TS, Secret, and Unclassified networks and telecommunications infrastructures for the new operational headquarters completed in July 2002. Managed the planning, design, acquisition, installation, configuration, support, and lifecycle operations for all TS, Secret, and Unclassified networks and telecommunications architectures for all Army Space world-wide locations.
