Retired as the BDE operations officer. Responsible for directing and planning all operations within the organization which include scheduling of Military schools for Soldiers nationwide. Ensure TRADOC lesson plans are followed for all training, instructors are certified, and students are trained to Army standards of training which have led to the Regiment obtaining National accredidation as an"Institute of Excellence". This is a part time position with the NCNG and my future plans are to retire with NCNG in January 2015 with 30 years of Military Service.

Raleigh Nc

Served as the State Casualty training officer, responsible for providing Dept of Defense casualty support training to military personnel throughout North Carolina. Provided casualty notification; assistance and military funeral support to Families of Soldiers who died stateside or were killed in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. I trained over 400 active duty soldiers and reserve soldiers on casualty operations such as notification, escort duties at Dover AFB, Burial/Military funeral honors regulations, funeral preparation, DoD/VA burial benefits, life insurance and survivor annuities. Supervised a team of 150 Military Funeral Honor Soldiers who typically performed over 400 Military Funerals annually throughout NC. Managed an annual budget of 1.7 million dollars to support these programs.

Harnett County, North Carolina

Responsible for providing public safety to the citizens of Harnett County and rehabilitating offenders of the state criminal justice system. Ensured those individuals sentenced to court ordered sanctions complied with conditions of probation or were apprehended and returned to the courts for follow on disposition. I supervised over 100 offenders of the justice system each month. This involved monitoring their actions, locations and rehabilitation. I reported weekly to District and Superior court Judges as well as District and State Superiors on the status of the offenders and their compliance. Training in this position included extensive weapons training, self defense, employment of deadly force and non lethal tactics. Training also included rehabilitative resources in areas such as alcohol/drug abuse, domestic violence and vocational rehabilitation.

Diyala Province, Iraq

Mobilized with the National Guard and served with the 30th BCT/ 1st Infantry Division as an Infantry officer assigned as a Brigade Operations Officer responsible for air medivac, air transportation and rotary/fixed wing attack operations on enemy forces in Diyala Province Iraq. I also served as the Brigade training officer responsible for recruitment, training, equipping and joint combat deployment of two new Iraqi Army units consisting of over 500 recruits and a 2.4 million dollar project budget.
