Created and implemented a national public relations campaign for the initialization of the Community Forestry Program in The Gambia. This campaign sensitized rural communities to a new, sustainable forestry program through print, television, radio and theater troupe media.

Directed operations at a USAID-funded Community Training Center in Kedougou, Senegal. In addition to hosting multi-disciplined workshops and training for the local community, the center also served as the regional Peace Corps volunteer base, providing support to the volunteers in the field. The center was home to demonstration gardens, a tree nursery and other viable implementations of locally-sustainable technologies. The center provided training and workshops in Agriculture, Forestry, Small Business, Health & Sanitation and Emerging Technologies.
