I have significant experience in the design of health care facilities. corporate offices, and facilities for science and technology. This experience is based on hands-on involvement in the areas of site master planning, facilities needs analysis, programming, functional planning, site planning and building design.PROGRAMMING ProcessBackground and Hands-On experience in the methodology (Problem Seeking) developed by William Pena FAIA.DESIGN• I was trained in the original “charrette” team design process by Jack DeBartolo Jr. FAIA, my mentor at ADP. He was one of the original design leaders at CRSS and helped pioneer the interac- tive design process known as “squatters”. I have led charrette sessions for healthcare, science, technology and workplace projects. Most recently I led a 3 day charrette with representatives of Facebook in an effort to identify pre-fabricationpotential in their Data Center designs. Building Design• I believe in a highly collaborative design process. The involvement of all team members, utilizing various problem-solving techniques helps to set the proper context for creativity.Computational Design• I have recently collaborated with colleagues in the development of data driven analytical tools to develop recommendations for solutions to complex multi-faceted problems.MANAGEMENT• From 2004 until 2012 I was a part of building the SF office of Ellerbe Becket around a Healthcare Practice. The office grew from 9 staff to over 40by the year 2010. Net revenue grew from $1.5M to just over $10.0M in 2010. AECOM acquired Ellerbe Becket at the end of CY2009.• As PIC of specific projects I have had direct responsibility for project financial performance and client satisfaction.• I was involved in the establishment and growth of ADP’s branch office in San Francisco.(‘89-’95)• I have been heavily involved in Marketing, Proposal response preparation, Interviews and Closing.
