I.e, DevOps.- 24/7 support: Requires the creation and maintenance of automated monitoring, tests and alerting. This is achieved through products such as Splunk, New Relic, Slack and OpsGenie.- Operation security: We ensure software is up to date, security patches are applied and all certifications are valid. We are also responsible for ensuring that any new infrastructure is secure and implements best practice.- Agile: We deliver work iteratively and in a smart way. We rapidly adapt to changing requirements. I originally worked across several core projects in the Engineering Information Systems (EIS) team. I then moved from a backend system developer to lead responsibility of CI/CD & system environments. I was integral to the development of various projects within Launchpad. Right through the software development life cycle. Projects included a database and application used by a high profile Sydney modelling agency. It was used to store and maintain model information and images.

NextGen at the time was heavily involved in very high traffic custom sport tipping applications. My role involved working on Microsoft J++ classes critical to the tipping platforms. I was also working closely with a highly skilled database administrator. We were tasked with optimising the MS Sequel Server Stored Procedures and table indexing via MS SQL Query optimiser.
