Approving firewall requests for agencies by doing vulnerability scans and working with hosting to implement fixes for found vulnerabilities and networking to implement firewall changes.Creating and participating in Risk and Privacy Assessments for state run applications to make sure data is protected or backed up in the event of data loss, system failure, or environmental disaster.Approve software that the state is looking into purchasing to make its secure, has no current vulnerabilities, and the company is approved and certified by security organization such as SOC2, FedRamp, and other well known entities.Approving Contracts with outside vendors that will host state systems, or applications purchased by the state hosted on internal servers, according to the terms and conditions of the contract.
