Internally manage the critical spare components for progressive dies which includes internal manufacturing of components, obtaining quotes and ordering from outside vendors including heat treat and coating of components. Ordering and maintaining correct levels of consumables for internal EDM and machining processes. Creating, developing and implementing an SAP based inventory management system that will ensure accurate inventory reports, provide accurate component consumption, and utilize MRP for spares ordering in order to minimize human error and manual intervention in the process. I supervise and support EDM operators, machinists and tool and die makers. Some manufacture components and some are prototype techs who help design new products, design and fabricate tooling to manufacture those new parts for customer trials and also provide testing and functional analysis of those new parts. My role is to contribute when possible and to ensure all employees in both areas have the tools to perform their work efficiently and effectively. Working in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines and high priority work. Support all health and safety rules and initiatives to ensure the safety of all employees.
