I grew up and continued to have an interest, the family farm in Suffolk before undertaking schooling at Culford, which was followed by an Estate Management Course at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester. After college I spent 2 years working in the Cheshire County Council's Farm Department, which lead up to me obtaining my Chartered Surveyor's qualifications in 1981. On returning to Suffolk I spent a number of years working for Abbotts, who were then an independent private partnership, working in their Colchester, Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds' offices over a 10 year period. The last 20 years have been spent with Lacy Scott & Knight with a working base in Stowmarket.When I am not at work time is spent with my wife and two teenage sons, and pursuing various sporting interests.
