My experience includes many aspects of mechanical, civil and environmental engineering with particular emphasis on all phases of development and management of solid and hazardous waste treatment facilities and civil/infrastructure projects, including planning and investigation, preliminary and detailed design, procurement, construction management and start-up and commissioning. My main focus has been in the preparation and evaluation of solid waste master plans; feasibility studies; design and implementation of waste-to-energy facilities, materials processing and recycling facilities, landfills, and transfer stations and in the areas of demolition waste processing, industrial incineration projects, hazardous waste treatment, and solid waste and air quality permitting. I also have considerable experience with alternative energy projects including landfill gas and wind, and in water and wastewater treatment, drainage, medical waste treatment, sludge incineration, composting and environmental impact assessment. Over my career at CDM Smith I have had the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects both in the US and overseas. Major projects overseas have been in Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China.
