Leading a team of researchers and analysts across three sub department’s within the Complex and Specialised Crime Department in British Transport Police. During this time I have created and implemented a new Intelligence development process, aimed at taking new single and multiple strands of intelligence, and forming a foundation intelligence picture for investigation teams. Multiple operations have commenced as a result of this process to date.I have been acting as a Subject Matter Expert in the Force’s review of its usage of the Police National Database (PND) in addition to the review of the effectiveness of the Access Control Lists of the local intelligence system used by the Force. I have rewritten the Terms of Reference for the Serious and Organised Crime Desk within the Force Intelligence Bureau and have also co-written the Serious and Organised Crime Profile for the Force.In addition to the above I have experience in the following areas:• Creating and running Continual Professional Development (CPD) days for my staff, focusing on improving key skills and learning new practices.• Contributing to the external accreditation for the department.• Managing the recruitment and training of staff.• Acting as the lead on creating bespoke analytical products aimed at both addressing issues around Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and utilising HUMINT for the Force.

Working as an Analyst within the Complex and Specialised Crime Department, it was my responsibility to review new incidents to identify upstream intelligence development opportunities and act as the analytical lead for assigned investigations. I conducted research and analysis on a wide range of data sets and utilised a variety of open and closed intelligence databases. I produced briefings and reports ad hoc for senior officers/management in order to update/inform them of analysis results and intelligence developments. In the execution of my duties as an analyst I utilised systems such as:• Police National Computer (PNC).• Police National Database (PND).• Local intelligence systems.• Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR).• Financial investigation systems.• Chorus.• ViSor.• Integrated Information Platform.• Land Registry.• OSINT platforms.I became well versed at using all Microsoft Office functions and applications.I am also NIAT accredited.

Providing Intellgence support for Police Officers and staff across England, Scotland and Wales.Based in a real time unit, working to short deadlines in a high pressure environment. Monitoring live incidents and providing intelligence support in relation to officer safety, safeguarding, high risk missing persons and urgent next of kin enquiries. Reviewing urgent or high priority intelligence submissions, developing and processing intelligence reports and disseminating to other home office forces or external agencies.Conducting research around protests and demonstrations that may impact the force's jurisdiction, monitoring open sources to support investigations and providing intelligence packages to officers to assist criminal investigations and briefing senior officers on intelligence findings and developments during live incidents.Other responsibilities include intelligence gathering for various vulnerable persons such as youths, adults at risk and individuals involved in domestic incidents, as well as persons showing mental health and suicidal concerns.

- Providing a high vis presence on the railway to assist the public, deter crime and provide reassurance.- First account and statement taking.- Engage with the public and local communities, discussing potential problems or on going issues that can then be submitted as intelligence or addressed in future operations.- Worked as the single point of contact for the neighbourhood policing teams problem solving plans, noting issues on our area and the actions taken to eliminate them.
