Adjunct Professor Of Business And Science
CurrentProfessional Science Master's Degree is for students who have scientific or technical undergraduate or graduate degrees. The Curriculum is designed to prepare them to manage tech-intensive innovative processes. The Capstone course emphasizes entrepreneurial skills necessary for starting their own companies, as one vehicle to commercialize technical intellectual property. I began by video recording final venture pitches. It proved to be very successful for our international students where English was at best a second language. So, I began videoing workshops, guest speakers, and lectures for the creation of a video library posted on Kaltura. We tested international live streaming of classes for off site students using Go-To-Meeting and Webex. Classes are very large, 50-75 students that require at least 3 co-instructors led by an MIT PhD a Sr VP Marketing of International medical device fim. I have helped graduate over 500 students from the program while consulting on over 120 individual technical team ventures by the brightest minds in New Jersey, from bio-tech, product inspection and reporting, to underwater drones. Participated in Rutgers Pilot Program of totally on-line teaching programs. Perfect inexpensive and flexible training device for industries with high turnover and need for repetitive training.
Technical Sales Manager
When I resigned from the Air Force I found a company that was using a brand-new technology. It was a plastic card that would replace cash - the American Express Card. Over the next 33 ½ years I sold and helped develop new financial technical products to enhance customer service and satisfaction. I worked with Delta and Continental Airlines to help redesign their Amex Customer Service Departments using PCs. I also was the Amex Technical Representative to the Airline Financial Accounting Management Association of ~30 international air carriers. My last Amex work was on a machine network to obtain cash using a plastic card, or ATM. I had come full circle. We bought into the ATM technology for $12 Million and sold out for $20 Million. I retired from the World Financial Center and wanted to stay active and current by teaching at university level.
Pilot
I started as an Air Force Pilot after graduating from College. I was trained to fly the Cessna T-37 which became the basic air-frame for their “Citation” Business Jet of today. I was also trained to fly the T-38 Supersonic trainer which undoubtedly is the performance model for all “Supersonic” Business jets being developed right now. I then transitioned into C-130’s which are still doing legion humanitarian work this very day. I was a Flying Safety Officer in the Dominican Republic working with the Brazilian Air Force, Supervisor of Flying, and Instructor Safety Officer for a very high-tech program, besides piloting. I was awarded 3 Distinguished Flying Crosses and 5 Air Medals for participation in historical events and was selected as one of the pilots to fly the US Ambassador into Moscow, as well as flying in a Paris Airshow. Aviation is the basic technology skill set for all the other technologies that I have used and helped develop during my career.
