ETW is an energy, environmental, materials and device company that operates as a scientific and industrial technology firm with a commercialization laboratory using a platform technology known as MAD(tm) Technology. Mr. Dalton invented MAD(tm) Technology which is inclusive of MAD(tm) Materials and MAD(tm) Devices.Mr. Dalton directs the market applications and development of MAD(tm) Technology This platform has many applications in chemical synthesis including creating pharmaceuticals and related precursors, sequestering carbon dioxide, converting carbon dioxide to fuel, producing hydrogen, extracting and refining petroleum & renewable hydrocarbons, heating fluids, storing energy, abating pollution, synthesizing biofuels and biochemicals, analyzing chemicals, and more. ETW systems and devices integration approach uses very diverse types of materials. Mr. Dalton has a background and experience in materials that have applications requiring various chemical and physical properties including materials for ETW's Space Technology Division.Mr. Dalton has developed a rapid, cost-effective approach for evaluating research and innovations for commercialization. The evaluation process examines technologies for commercialization potential that could be able to successfully cross the “Valley of Death” to become profitable commercialized successes. This approach is based upon technology development evaluation similar to DARPA Recently, ETW was a candidate for NASA's Lunar Catalyst Program. Furthermore, Mr. Dalton is engaged in other professional activities. These other business activities include logistics, software, maintenance management, marketing and sales in commercial and retail activities that dove-tail with ETW's sales & marketing agenda.MAD(tm), MAD(tm) Technology, MAD Materials(tm), and MAD(tm) Devices are trademarks of ETW.

Company DirectorElectric Oxidation Co., Inc Jul 2002 - Jan 2008Rock Hill, ScDirected the company’s market and technical strategies including equipment and material designs for pollution control devices for a variety of commercial applications to address the Clean Air Act of 1990 (CAA 1990) and the Clean Water Act (CWA).Actively participated in Clean Air Act public meetings. Participated in national level meetings with the Secretary of the US Environment Protection Agency (USEPA), Carol Browner of the Clinton Administration, and served on a subcommittee for the Early Action Compact Committee of Greenville, Spartanburg and Anderson Counties in South Carolina for the USEPA. The Early Action Compact was allowed under the CAA 1990 during the G.W. Bush Administration.Pollution control technology initially focused on the print industry, and then expanded to different industries with air pollutants including volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2) and others. Eventually technology for water pollution control equipment was invented, also.

Company DirectorElectricity Generation Energetic, Inc. Jan 2003 - Jan 2007Rock Hill, South CarolinaDue to the rapidly changing natural gas marketplace, U.S. pipeline capacity in the early 2000’s and the Hydrogen Initiative by the G.W. Bush Administration, a method to transport natural gas and produce hydrogen was patented. High Energy Gas (HEG) technology was invented to utilize natural gas to create HEG gases with acceptable Wobbie indices that are suitable for transmission and distribution pipelines, to produce hydrogen and to utilize other available carbon resources and renewable feedstocks to meet a country’s energy needs. The HEG technology can produce H2 without producing CO2. Hydrogen applications can store excess and off-peak energy from conventional, nuclear, wind and solar generated electricity creating more hydrocarbons and reducing bottlenecks during the transportation of natural gas. Hydrides and other hydrogen storage materials were investigated to store hydrogen for use in PEM and ceramic fuels cells. Catalysis systems and technology was investigated for fuel cell system using natural gas including technology for water-shift reactions for more hydrogen production.Patent applications were filed in over 22 countries. These countries were strategically chosen for natural gas reserves and transportation routes. Patents were awarded in the USA, Poland, Iran, Pakistan and other countries. Additionally, new designs of coal-fired power plants were examined using uncommon high-temperature refractory ceramics and intermetallics. Designs were chosen to reduce NOx emissions.

Lead Materials EngineerVitlab Sep 1994 - Dec 1995Anderson, South CarolinaLead Materials Engineer at a laboratory facility for scaled-up, experimental glass furnaces for a U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) contract. The US DoE’s main contract was between the Savannah River National Laboratories and Clemson University. The focus of the contracts was on vitrification of simulated low-level nuclear mixed waste sludges from DoE National Laboratories around the county. Mixed waste includes wastes with radioactivity and RCRA Metals. Responsibilities included analysis of vitrified wastes compositions, shakedown evaluations of experimental glass furnaces that were designed and constructed by industrial vendors for the US DoE, selection of raw materials, analysis of processing conditions for wastes glass compositions, examination of the encapsulation of the waste in a glass structure based on results from toxicity characterization leachate procedure (TCLP), and refractory analysis in new glass composition processing environments including microstructural corrosion and TCLP results, evaluation of glass quality and quality control of each glass formation process.
