Act as first point of contact for Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP), emergency situations and outages on emergency (911). Monitor alarms for PSAP circuits. Monitor, survey, and analyze 911 and ALI alarms. Event correlation. Perform remote testing, isolation and restoration of multiple switch types as well as CPE using various software applications. Perform test calls or call traces. Interacts to manage and coordinate work efforts by interfacing with several work groups, both internal and external, escalating as necessary. Interface with Law Enforcement as part of the Security Response Center to provide assistance in Life-Threat situations.

Paradyne DSL shelves, ATI access islands, Mux, Titan, Centest, Fujitsu Optical shelves (FLM and Flashwave), Cerent, Nortel classic optical equipment, Infinera, DWDM and SONET. Extensive knowledge of Nortel DMS, Lucent 5ESS, and Santera. In depth knowledge of POTS, Flat business, PRI, BRI, ISDN, SS7 protocols, switch translations and routing. Also, working repair tickets to resolution. Talking with customers to verify service is restored, or to get detailed information on the problem. Running tests on the line, testing T1’s, extensive knowledge of both 5ESS and DSM switches. Able to build lines into the switch as well as all translations, features, hunt groups, long distance, etc… Working with other Integra departments as well as Telco to resolve issues in a timely manner. Handling escalation calls to satisfy customer complaints and working repair to resolution

Working on orders for communication companies installing bays, shelves, equipment, power and cabling in Qwest central offices. Using schematics to make sure equipment is in the correct location. Working with engineers and other employees to make sure installation is complete and correct on the due date, or prior to the date that is due.Also, ISDN Maintenance Repair Group – Working with customers on trouble tickets with their ISDN lines. Testing BRI & PRI circuits, channel channel units and customers NT1 remotely. Troubleshooting software and the switch for the correct features and translations. Programming translations and features within 5ESS & DMS switches. Testing with the customer until problem is corrected and customer is satisfied.
