I’m a chief executive with refined vision, scientific and business acumen, and a track record of success across a diverse range of academic science and commercial product development areas. I hold a Ph.D. in Immunology from UMass Medical School, filed 25+ patents, and wrote peer-reviewed publications in journals and 50+ abstracts accepted for presentation in cancer immunology and regenerative medicine.When I began my career as a lab technician, I would never have predicted my path and success in this scientific field. My career has allowed me to contribute to the seminal years of discovery and development in the fields of cell biology, cancer immunology, and regenerative medicine. Over time, I rose to more influential leadership roles, where I guided multidisciplinary teams to accelerate the translation and delivery of device, device-biologic, device-drug, and drug technologies. In recent years, I have focused on building, funding, and scaling early-stage start-up ventures, culminating in successful partnership and acquisition. Career Highlights:✔ MEDICAL DEVICE/BIOLOGICS DEVELOPMENT: I have completed full-cycle development, clinical evaluation, commercialization, and launch of more than a dozen products that advanced the medical field. Notable success stories include NOVOCART, activL, DeNovo NT, ET/Revaflex, InQu, and Healos. ✔ EMPOWERING LEADERSHIP: Even more important than my own scientific discoveries are the organizations and teams I built and sustained. In each of my leadership roles, I have attracted, motivated, mentored, and retained top R&D talent using an inspirational, compassionate management style. I challenge each person to reach higher and fuel their curiosity.✔ AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY: I am especially excited about my most recent achievement to develop the first-ever fully automated, scalable cell culture system for patient-specific cartilage grafts, a closed bioreactor system that will enable global commercial scale.
