Lead a major cloud data migration for the insurance business. Created an enterprise data lake on the AWS cloud with data held in S3, Snowflake as the EDW and data transformations done on EMR. BI and Analysis was performed using Tableau. A realtime component was introduced to allow live ratings to be delivered into the platform triggering realtime updates to kpi dashboards.

Re-engineered a number of silo data solutions into a single Oracle based data solution with BI capabilities to support investment management and trading decisions. Solution involved receiving market and other data from a number of different sources and executing pricing algos to produce high throuput and low latency realtime updates to the investment teams.

Began as an graduate in technology. Worked on E-Commerce Business expanding out delivery channels using Java. Moved to trading where I was involved in re-engineering the market data feeds to a real time system using Oracle AQ. Promoted to Senior VP to lead the market data team where I was involved in centralising and storing market data in an Oracle RDBMS fronted by a Coherence Cache. This optimised trading latency by 2 orders of magnitude. Promoted to lead architect, trading where I worked on optimising trade throughput on the FX Trading desk.
