I’m currently a Senior Underwriter at Fora Financial, a small business & middle market non-bank lender based in New York City. I have been in my position for the past 3 years and have risen to be a senior member of the team and am considered a mentor throughout the department. Over the past couple of years, I have conducted perspicacious revenue & cashflow analysis, reviewed business financial statements, built financial models, and have assessed credit reports to determine the expected risk profile of small businesses along with larger middle market enterprises applying for Working Capital, MCA, Revenue Advance Funding. I have experience utilizing proprietary software and models to competitively price revenue advance approvals while evaluating each individual business based on multiple factors and providing recommendations. I also have been given leadership opportunities to train, mentor, and manage new underwriters and analysts both on site & remotely overseas (primarily in India). This encompasses leading training and shadowing sessions with hires outlying the daily financial and risk analysis that must be conducted. I have proven in my department to be an asset in training and managing less tenured underwrites and have successfully accomplished this both domestically and virtually abroad. I have also been a key individual in assisting management and other executives with the development and testing of our new proprietary underwriting software. I have provided underwriting and analyst insight and recommendations with the goal of increasing efficiency and productivity of the department along with identifying attributes of higher default risk businesses, that could have an effect on our portfolio down the line. In my time at Fora, I have underwritten hundreds of millions of dollars individually and have proved my capability of conducting detail conscious due diligence and making clear and effective decisions in regard to mitigating risk.

Preapprovals ranging from 250k to 5M• In-depth analysis of Financials Statement including YTD and Prior Year Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheet, Aging Reports (A/R & AP), Tax Returns, and WIP- Building Financial Models examining revenue and forecasting run rates, cash flow and net margin trends, liquidity/ current ratios, along with individualized outstanding debt obligations and making determinations in regard to pricing of pre-approvals• Present Risk Analysis, Models, and financial recommendations to senior executives on daily credit committee meetings in regards to large ticket deals ($250k to $5M)• Conduct Merchant Interview’s with questions arisen from analysis of financial statements with emphasis on revenue & margin trends, outstanding debt obligations, AR/ AP delinquencies, Equity Breakdown, Future Cash Flow, etc.• Utilize proprietary software and models to competitively price revenue advance/ loan approvals while evaluating each individual business based on multiple factors (including industry, sales, competitor balances, credit profile, ledger/ cash flow trend, liens, judgements, UCC’s, geographic region, seasonality) and provide recommendations• Train and Mentor new Underwriters both on site & remotely overseas (India)- Lead Training and Shadowing Sessions with new underwriters outlying the daily financial and risk analysis• Ad/ Hoc projects analyzing data from deals in collections or in default to identify high risk factors that can be implemented into the new credit policy
