Led/delivered with teams of engineering/construction professionals in support of the Rebuild Puerto Rico efforts on-island. The task entailed performing overhead visual detailed inspections on hundreds of 38kV transmission structures (wood poles, steel poles, lattice steel towers, etc.); throughout the island (rural/urban). In addition, documenting the condition of structures, wires, and relevant attachments/hardware, while managing coordination with the public, governmental entities, and client (LUMA). All aspects of work, led/delivered safely and without incident.

Senior Construction Manager of Design, Construction & Maintenance, responsible for the direction and oversight of SDG&Es Transmission Corrective Maintenance Program (CMP). Oversight for the construction activities and resources responsible for the construction of utility infrastructure and related facilities, performed mainly by contracted vendors or union labor. Serves as the primary communicator between the client, program/project management, work groups, and key stakeholders on project issues. Manage construction resources to maximize productivity, safety, quality, and cost savings. Monitor project performance and resolve engineering design issues, field barriers, and delays to maintain the project schedule. Oversight of electric construction activities to ensure construction standards, safety regulations, company policies/procedures, environmental requirements, and State/Federal regulations are met.

Served as a Transmission subject matter expert on projects that are highly technical, time critical, and engineering sensitive. Assigned upgrade Grid Manager for Transmission Design and Grid Operations. Extensive experience negotiating and facilitating with diverse SCE disciplines in mattersdemanding the partnership of SCE Law Department and Corporate Real Estate to obtain andexecute required permitting, land rights acquisitions and contracts from Caltrans, Rail Roads,governmental entities, major developers and 3rd Party landowners. Senior Technical Specialist entrusted with all aspects of the production lifecycle of the Transmission Deteriorated Pole Program and Capital On-Ramp program, developed strategy, and provided direction while leading a diverse support staff.With over 10 years of experience in the solar solutions space at Southern California Edison. Led residential, commercial and industrial projects in excess of 4 MW. Managed the RFI process and pre/post construction activities throughout the entire project life cycle. Responsible for managing the LiDAR generated $75 million-dollar TLRR program for transmission, while leading the entire scope development and execution of the designs. Developed project scope packages to identify resources and logistics needs. Directed engineering, designing, planning, estimating, scheduling and project management in the electrical grid. Coordinated efforts with stakeholders, collective bargaining unit personnel and senior leadership. Directly led the successful development and training of the annual multi-million-dollar infrastructure replacement program for SCE Transmission Business Unit for 10 consecutive years. In depth understanding of SCEs Design, Cost Estimating, Scheduling and Operational Standards. Transmission Technical Specialist successful leading the Transmission Deteriorated Pole Program in performance and directly contributed to the attainment of business unit goals from 2010-2017.

Distribution planning and customer service professional. Initiated, planned, and designed activities for all infrastructure replacement programs and new distribution circuits. Served as a lead and primary point of contact on all complex projects (overhead and underground) while managing each capital project from inception to completion, including safety, reliability, on schedule, and within scope and budget. Responsible for vetting proposed scope of work versus existing field conditions; develop/refine cost estimates and identify trends; make recommendations for corrective actions; which ultimately influence the design and construction of various operational areas. Confer with Engineering personnel to resolve design and operational/reliability concerns affecting the distribution system. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure requirements are delivered as requested and expectations were met and or exceeded. Negotiate with private landowners when necessary to obtain right-of-way (easements) that are required for the successful completion of work scope/design and construction. Conducted and participated in field site visits to facilitate project details; provide oversight to the job package development and processing.Demonstrated strong negotiation skills when communicating with customers towards projectexpectation and execution which resulted in a win-win solution. In 2011 during the Nuevo Blow Down, was responsible for managing the logistics and directing the restoring efforts to the affected area. Led multiple construction crews from SCE grids and union employees to construct, repair, and restore electrical power to SCEs transmission system during the emergency. CMIs were reduced by 25%, netting a savings of over $50 million dollars.
