About Robert Chiodi
My main interests lay in numerical method development for high performance computing (HPC). Although early in my career, I have led a variety of code development projects for computational physics applications ranging from atomizing flows to material response modeling for ablating reentry variables to simulating space weather.I am also the lead developer of the open source Interface Reconstruction Library (IRL, https://github.com/robert-chiodi/interface-reconstruction-library), a library for geometric advection, interface reconstruction, and arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) remap. While still being actively developed (with exciting new features coming soon!) it already has users on several continents and is an integral piece to open source CFD software. I love to collaborate and meet new people, so please contact me if you are interested in employing IRL.
