Commissioned Workshop for the repair of multistage pumps at Sulzer Chingola Service centre. Supervised entire start-up process.FIELD SERVICE.• Commissioning of new and repaired pumps;• Site visits to customer sites to assist clients solve problems with Sulzer pumps either new or rehabilited such as installations,premature failure, abnormal performance, mechanical defects etc.;even carrying out repairs on site where possible;• Site visits to customer sites to inspect pumps that Sulzer Zambia has been invited to tender for;• Installation of new and rehabilited pumps on client sites;• Alignments;• Flow measurements;• Delivery of pumps and pump spares to customer sites;• Collection of pumps from customer sites to the workshop for repair/rehabilitation;• Liasing with customers on technical/pump performance;• Writing failure and commissioning reports, and any other reports partaining to flow measurements and alignments;• Supervising Service ( Field ) Technicians;• Responsible for field service tools;• Any other tasks assigned from time to time.WORKSHOP.• Stripping pumps brought in for repair;• Inspection of pumps brought in for repair;• Writing inspection reports for repair and replacement parts;• Filling in documentation for each project and allocating project space and number;• Drawing spares for each project either ex-stock or imported and allocating them to specific projects;• Assembly of pumps;• Responsible for the workshop tools and equipment;• Preventive maintenance of workshop equipment;• Supervision of repair works and general housekeeping in the workshop including Service Technicians,Fitters, Turners and temporal staff engaged;• Responsible for statutory tests of Gib cranes, beams and lifting equipment and any other workshop equipment ;• Folklift operations;• Any other tasks assigned from time to time.

Sulzer Pumps Zambia - Chingola

Supervise removal and installation of new and reconditioned pumps,carryout condition monitoring,overhauling and repair of pumps,Alignment of rotating equipment using laser,Flow rate measurements .Key Reponsibilities: Collect pumps condition monitoring data and compile reports Supervise and co-ordinate monitoring of pumps (mostly underground) Schedule pumps for removal and repair Supervise the disassembly, inspection, compile a detailed repair/overhaul requirements for each pump part (multistage mostly) and reassemble after parts are repaired/rehabilitated or replaced as the case may be. Schedule repaired and new pumps for installation and commissioning Compile weekly and monthly reports for client and internal reporting Liaise with client giving guidance and support Maintain pump condition data base Assist in other areas of the business as and when required.

Managing all aspects of the Sulzer Workshop at the Zambia Customer Support service Centre.

Supervise the mechanical maintenance of pumps and motors and associated plant and equipment, pipes and pipelines, managing personnel and equipment assigned to section,carried out mechanical projects in the division to improve efficiency of water supply.Key Rresponsibilities: Managing all mechanical maintenance activities in the raw and water treatment plants in the division Scheduling daily, weekly and monthly planned preventive and predictive maintenance activities on all pumps at the raw water abstraction intakes and treatment works and associated machinery such as motors, agitators, flocculators, air blowers, valves, cranes etc. Scheduling monthly condition monitoring routines on all pumps and motors in the raw water and water treatment plants in the division  Analyzing reports arising from this condition monitoring routines and devising remedial measures to rectify machinery problems detected. Management of all adhoc mechanical projects in the division. Management of the sectional human resources Preparation of yearly mechanical maintenance and repairs budgets for approval Carried out other duties as assigned by maintenance engineer/Divisional Manager.

Installation and repair of water and sewerage pipelines,installation of bulk and domestic water meters, maintenance of booster pumps and associated plant and equipment.Key responsibilities: Scheduling daily, weekly and monthly work programmes for maintenance and repair of water and sewerage networks. Supervision of maintenance and repair works on the water and sewerage reticulation systems, reservoirs, booster and sewerage lift pump stations. Supervision of water and sewerage networks extension projects Management of personnel in the section Management of transport and maintenance equipment assigned Preparation of yearly water and sewerage networks maintenance and repair budgets for approval Carried out other duties as assigned by maintenance engineer/Operations Manager.

 Scheduling daily, weekly and monthly work programmes for operations, maintenance and water and sewerage networks work crews. Supervision of maintenance works in plants, water and sewer networks, and sewage ponds Supervision of maintenance and operations crews. Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports on the works for onward reporting to operations and maintenance Engineer. Management of transport and maintenance equipment assigned Preparation of yearly operations and maintenance budgets for approval Carried out other duties as assigned by operations and maintenance engineer.

Key Responsibilities Planned maintenance of centrifugal, metering and other types of pumps and associated plant and equipment at the water treatment works and raw water intake plants. Planned maintenance of rotodynamic/centrifugal compressors and Blowers and associated plant and equipment in the plant compressor houses and water works. Breakdown Maintenance of pumps, compressors, blowers and associated plant and equipment. Overhaul of pumps, compressors, blowers and associated plant and equipment. Installation of new and reconditioned pumps, compressors, blowers and associated plant and equipment. Condition monitoring of pumps, compressors, blowers and associated plant and equipment. Carried out other tasks as assigned by Foreman/Senior Assistant Engineer/Section Engineer.
