Schedule and monitor Customer and ATS P.M. work for on time completion. Document activities and report out to ATS and customer in appropriate format.Utilize Failure Analysis to avoid repeat failures and suggest upgrades and countermeasures to improve equipment availability. Mentor ATS associates to obtain maximum skill and morale. Enroll associates in training programs and classes. Counsel associates regarding attendance, morale, and productivity. Track associate skills and development, recommend promotions and pay increases.Track costs and cost savings. Prepare yearly and monthly financial forecasts and budgets, and report results to ATS and the customer as required.Provide uncompromising customer service ensuring that the Customer and ATS achieve maximum profitability and mutual success.

Manage Maintenance Engineers, Supervisors, Planners, and Craftsmen in their support of the Gadsden Plant’s Mixing and Component Prep operations. Guide department to insure Safe, timely, and reliable repair of production equipment. Assist Business Center Manager, Production Specialists, and Technical Team Leaders with machine upgrades, new installations, and Quality enhancement projects. Lead team to reduce unplanned downtime and ensure 100% P.M. Schedule compliance. Implement Predictive and Proactive Maintenance programs, including Plant Optimization, TPM, and analytical systems such as vibration analysis, and oil sampling.Use Data to drive results and improvements. Make use of RCFA to avoid repeat failures. Manage Capital projects; adhere to budgets, deliver on time on budget results. Assure associates are held accountable for attendance, safety, and company policies.

Start up of new company. Act as company’s agent during construction of new facility. Meet with engineers, contractors, and municipal representatives to insure company’s interests are protected. Direct location and installation of utilities inside and outside plant following equipment layout drawings. Unload, unpack, and inventory manufacturing equipment to be used in plant. Installation and set up of manufacturing and support equipment. Connection of utilities and test run of equipment. Train new employees and lead people on operation of equipment. Assist production managers with start up and operation of equipment, production lines, and support equipment. Supervise craftsmen and contractors. Oversee planned and emergency repair work of Mechanics, Electricians, Lubricators, and Contractors, in a 24 hour seven day a week tire manufacturing plant. Interpret Labor Agreement to insure cross functionality of craftsmen and goals of the company are met. Plan, schedule, and supervise Preventive maintenance and equip. change out outages. Work with Project and Reliability Engineers on new equipment installations and upgrades to existing equipment. Write P.M. inspections and job plans. Enter and update backlog work orders. Write job scope, funds requests and purchase orders for contract labor projects. Procure needed replacement and upgrade parts for repairs, and write stock item requests for required spare parts inventories. Review and update safety procedures and insure compliance of craftsmen in order to promote a safe working environment. Utilize computerized maintenance management system, Windows NT and Microsoft Office computer programs.
