Designed and oversaw creation of main product rebuild intending to improve scalability and extensibility. Managed off-shore engineering team to implement rebuild. Setup multi-region deployment environment on Azure's kubernetes service.

Supported Planet's GeoSpatial data API and internal platform in production. Led the adaptation of the internal data serving platform to an on-premise solution. Worked with docker to speed up the CI pipeline and migrated old services to a kubernetes based deployment.

Co-founded Knotwork (now IntroStellar) and lead a remote team of 2 engineers through the creation of a professional networking platform. Designed a scalable backend system for storing, processing, and resolving the identity of people that serves data to IOS and web frontends. Conducted user interviews to gather feedback about product design.

Contracted to integrate ElasticSearch with the Zymergen internal database providing faster search through lab workflow data.

Lead the developer tools team working to improve engineering productivity through development of in-house tools. In this position I was responsible for growing the team, coming up with the best way to improve productivity of engineers, and measuring the effects of any productivity tools/process managed by the developer tools team.

Researched usage of machine learning systems to build models relating raw sensor data to natural language produced by human beings. The high-level goal was to create a system that can continuously learn the meaning of natural language statements and be able to identify patterns in sensor data that the natural language described.
