This company installs custom skylight systems primarily for commercial buildings. I was part of the Nielsen team that recently rebuilt the Polaris blue dome on the downtown Atlanta Hyatt. My responsibilities with this company include prepping surfaces for installation, building skylight frame work, installing and sealing glass or panels. As an installer I operate a variety of machinery such as boom and scissor lifts and a wide variety of hand tool and power tools. Review blueprints and layouts of projects. I was chosen to be a company driver. I am a member and at times a team leader to a crew to build skylight systems. I am often required to wear a safety harness and other forms of PPE.

As a crew member, I was responsible primarily for offering exceptional customer serviceand product knowledge to our customers. My goal was to offer a friendly and informativeatmosphere for the customer. Other duties included running a cash register and beingresponsible for handling of cash, stocking shelves, unloading trucks, managing “sell by”dates, and proper opening as well as closing procedures for the store. Due to myconstruction skills, I was often asked to oversee special projects around the store suchas rebuilding the inside of the manager's station or “Captain's Desk”. I was also incharge of ordering store supplies and unloading and receiving orders, warehouse inventoryplacement. I utilized various software specific to Trader Joe's to accomplish many taskssuch as ordering and receiving of products. I operated Big Joe walk behind fork lifts aswell as a variety of motorized and non motorized pallet jacks.

ROC Solutions was a business that provides high quality custom closet and storage installations featuring primarily Elfa closet systems and Skandia shelving for both residential and commercial closet and storage needs in Georgia and surrounding states. ROC Solutions was the exclusive company hired to upgrade the closet and storage needs for Post Properties Atlanta. We were also the exclusive installation team hired by BuiltRite Solutions to handle their install needs in the Atlanta area. ROC Solutions was the company hired to handle all installations of any products sold by The Container Store. Primarily their Elfa and Skandia systems. We also offered a general handyman service which included plumbing and electrical fixture replacement. Light plumbing and electrical repairs, interior painting, HVAC repair, low voltage wiring and professional organization. I was responsible for the day to day operation of the company and oversaw all aspects of crew training and supervising, appointment scheduling, inventory management, computerized accounting, client tracking, billing, customer service and client relations, contract negotiations, purchasing, advertising, utilizing a variety of software, project layout and problem solving as well as meeting deadlines and quality control. ROC Solutions maintained the highest rating possible on Angie’s List and has never received a customer complaint due to high professional work ethics and standards which has contributed to a large repeat customer base.

I was involved in every aspect of security system installation and training home ownershow to operate the system. I was also the lead trim out tech for the Atlanta area.I did pre-wire installations on homes under construction. After the home was finished Iwould go back and install the equipment and test for proper function. Trouble shoot anyproblems and fix them. This portion of the job was known as the trim out. I was the numberone person for 4 years in this position for Brink in the state of Georgia. After the homeowners moved in I returned to activate their system and instruct on it operation.I also did retro installs on built homes needing a security system. I was responsible forrunning wire, installing contacts, keypads and other equipment as well as wiring the mainpanel inputting codes for proper operation. I was involved in the training of new hires asto all phases of the install process including proper installation technique and codes. Imaintained and inventory on the company vehicle as well as maintenance on all equipmentand supplies. Safety Award - 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999; Technician of the Month - March 1998,August 1999.

Target Services is a privately owned pest control company in Alpharetta. I supervisedanother technician as we serviced homes for pest control. I was responsible for schedulingappointments and providing top level technical knowledge and product support to clients.Responsible for customer service, maintenance of equipment, billing of customers on myroute, training of new hires, locating possible new customers.
