My role at Core Communications includes the full ownership of the management accounts, including income statement and balance sheet analysis, and accounts pack preparation for the Board of Directors. Another vital part of the role is the preparation of year-end accounts and liaising with our external auditors to ensure a successful sign-off. I have also undertaken improvements to month-end processes that have reduced the complexity of monthly reconciliations, along with making the accounts pack more user-friendly for the Board. Other important parts to this role include close partnering with budget holders to understand the key drivers of the business.
