Hello. My name is Robert Collins. I am an alumni for Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. I graduated in December 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. My most recent position was Executive Assistant to the COO of Chimes Maryland, a nonprofit organization that specializes with individuals with mental and physical disabilities. In my role as executive assistant, I managed the COO's calendar, scheduled meetings, recorded meeting minutes from directors meetings, and other tasks as requested. I also worked on organizing quarterly award presentations and the Chimes Maryland Holiday Party. My previous position was in the financial aid office with Laureate International Universities, working with Walden University. In my position, I adjusted students' financial aid awards, depending on their current status with the school. I'm looking for new jobs that could become a career where my experiences has an English major is utilized and expanded upon, building on what I have already known as a professional.
