- Responsible for managing national freight tariffs and negotiating rates with Less-than-truckload (LTL)/Truck load (TL) carriers- Monitor shipping rates and lead times with all available LTL/TL carriers, to find most economical way of shipping - Direct and operate four distribution centers with over $45 million in assets - In charge of purchasing and negotiating all warehouse machinery, supplies, and fixtures- Control the booking, shipping, and setting up of merchandise for national shows- Drive end-to-end cycle counts to identify and report on business operational metrics - Manage supply chain and shipping operations for Rent-A-Center, AAFES, NEXCOM, MCX and Rental groups; prioritize monthly promotions to meet specific shipping windows- Organize fulfillment for the following accounts: Dell, Purchasing Power, Overstock, Amazon, Newegg, QVC- Serve as primary point of contact for vendors and carriers to meet all service level agreement requirements- Oversee reverse logistics by monitoring on-time deliveries, freight damages, claims paid, and variances in billing- Lead a 40-member team with 5 direct reports, conduct performance evaluations, provide on-going coaching and identify growth opportunities for key talent- Experience in building and molding great employees: manage work schedules, monitor safety procedures, adjust to bottle necks, and operate at high efficiency while maintaining a motivated team morale
