Support shipyard engineers working with a highly complex computer system critical to the defense of the United States. Provide Engineering and Technical services as the Local Combat System Test Development Director (LCSTDD) for the AEGIS DDG shipbuilding test program. Support the AEGIS Technical Representative (AEGIS TECHREP) Test & Evaluation (T&E) Division Head, in the customer’s role as the AEGIS Program Test Development Director (APTDD). Maintain a local on-site presence for AEGIS TECHREP acting as a liaison between AEGIS TECHREP, Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUBSHIP), AEGIS Test Team (ATT) and the Bath Iron Works (BIW) staff. Provide entry of the test procedure delivery schedule into the Test Procedure Delivery System (TPDS). Coordinate and maintain the listing of authorized engineering changes for each hull. Review delivered test procedures for compliance with actual ship configuration. Primary Local Point of Contact (POC) to expedite on time delivery of BIW test procedures from the Test Development Directors (TDDs). Ensure waterfront test teams receive, use, and report results based upon the authorized government provided test procedures. Responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected. The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy- and / or external systems. To make sure that testing is well defined, planned and executed. The analyst does this by ensuring that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live. Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices. Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met. Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally. I am responsible for Warfare System Engineering and assessment of criteria to support Certification Decisions; assessment of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) against Certification Criteria; provide risk assessments; plan and participate in Warfare System Certification events; write technical inputs & reports.
