I joined Desert Landscape in September 2011 as Manager of the Abu Dhabi operation. In September 2012 Desert Landscape underwent a major restructure, and I moved to the Dubai office in the position of Operations Manager, Desert Group Construction.I have undertaken a role as Operations Manager with multiple responsibilities, which include management of the estimation and procurement departments, post tender submission follow up, submissions of various technical proposals during tender and post tender stages of the projects, improving the efficiency and communication of all functional support services to ensure the successful, timely and profitable completion of a number of projects for a varied portfolio of clients.I manage the process of tender preparation and submission, with all the required technical and financial addenda; technical qualifications, post submission negotiations and clarifications, and contract document review and negotiation, protecting the company's interest on contract award.

Our financial results were dependent on efficient time, resource and project management. Previously, this area of the business had been lacking and when promoted to General Manager in January 2009, my task was to return the business to a profitable concern.This goal was achieved with each month's financial results recording progressive profits. Additionally, the reputation and stature of Gulf Dunes was building within the market.

Extensive client liaison to generate work, the logistic and administrative undertakings involved in the setting up of a new company, personnel interviewing and selection, and the supervision of site works to ensure the required and expected efficiency and quality were achieved, as well as meeting financial targets and budgets.
