I joined Desert Landscape in September 2011 as Manager of the Abu Dhabi operation. In September 2012 Desert Landscape underwent a major restructure, and I moved to the Dubai office in the position of Operations Manager, Desert Group Construction.I have undertaken a role as Operations Manager with multiple responsibilities, which include management of the estimation and procurement departments, post tender submission follow up, submissions of various technical proposals during tender and post tender stages of the projects, improving the efficiency and communication of all functional support services to ensure the successful, timely and profitable completion of a number of projects for a varied portfolio of clients.I manage the process of tender preparation and submission, with all the required technical and financial addenda; technical qualifications, post submission negotiations and clarifications, and contract document review and negotiation, protecting the company's interest on contract award.

I joined Imagineering as a Landscape Manager to develop the horticultural side of the business, complimentaing the specialist knowledge of the other members of the Management team to provide a turn-key external works, cost effective package.

I joined Gulf Dunes as Senior Operations Manager and set about re-structuring the operational side of the business and assembling a technical department to improve the efficiency, quality and response of the company to the needs and requirements of a competitive and fast track market. Our financial results were dependent on efficient time, resource and project management. Previously, this area of the business had been lacking and when promoted to General Manager in January 2009, my task was to return the business to a profitable concern.This goal was achieved with each month's financial results recording progressive profits. Additionally, the reputation and stature of Gulf Dunes was building within the market.

I joined TDIC as Senior Project Manager and managed all landscape and related issues from the client’s perspective, liaising with and directing all relevant stakeholders to ensure optimum quality, value for money and timely completion of our prestigious projects.

I started Emirates Landscapes in 2000 as the sole employee and built up one of the largest landscape companies in Abu Dhabi, with a reputation for quality and professionalism.As General Manager my duties varied over a wide range of responsibilities. Extensive client liaison to generate work, the logistic and administrative undertakings involved in the setting up of a new company, personnel interviewing and selection, and the supervision of site works to ensure the required and expected efficiency and quality were achieved, as well as meeting financial targets and budgets.

When I joined, the Abu Dhabi office had been open for approximately 18 months and was still in early stages of development.My brief was to raise the profile of the company, increase the clientele and, therefore, develop the company infrastructure to accommodate the increased workload, and in turn meet projected financial targets.I completed 4 years as Manager of the Abu Dhabi office undertaking a number of prestigious projects within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi gaining a reputation for quality and efficiency.

I was employed as a Lecturer having worked there part-time since September 1992. My main duties were teaching Estate skills, surveying and landscape construction, incorporating a wide range of courses from NVQ to Higher National Diploma. I was also involved in the preparation of exhibitions and demonstrations including the Chelsea Flower Show.
