Was responsible for developing an energy strategy for all stores to achieve the energy goal of a climate positive operation by 2040. Successfully tendered new contracts for electricity trading, and delivered projects to improve energy efficiency which also delivered substantial savings. Additionally, led the delivery of the strategy to transform the team into a modern FM function. Implemented a new Work Order system and way of working to improve delivery of FM services and successfully tendered a major new contract for cleaning.

Engaged with a range of stakeholders in the UK and Sweden to develop relationships for research partnerships and projects within energy and sustainability issues. Hosted a series of events in Stockholm and London to encourage the uptake of Green Bonds in project financing.

Responsible for delivering a portfolio of decentralised energy projects, some with high Mayoral priority. Developed new revenue generating projects, such as new gas engines at Greenwich power station. Designed a new approach for installing more solar generation on the TfL estate. Lead the development of the Bunhill waste heat pilot project, and developed an approach for future waste heat projects. Created and embedded strategies for improving energy efficiency and lowering London Underground’s carbon emissions through energy sourcing.

Produced a new model to analyse the Underground’s power consumption, and forecast future trends and price changes. Supported complex negotiations with third parties for energy supply. Lead the initial development work for feasibility and business case for the Greenwich power station project. Successfully lobbied the business for additional funding for the project.
