Conceive, build and execute a comprehensive newscast packed with new content in a fast-moving format that offers considerable value to the viewer. Write a good number of scripts quickly and concisely. Copyedit all content and offer constructive criticism for reporters and associate producers. Produce evening social media posts on Facebook and Twitter.

• Transform a radio show into a top-rated television program using graphics, video, soundbites and live remotes• Manage the staff to ensure problems are dealt with effectively and quality control remains high• Remain in “breaking news mode” for the duration of the show by producing elements to support what Don Imus is discussing at the time• Build a sizeable list of contacts with high profile guests and television/radio colleagues• Produce and re-edit all original content for up to five hours of weekend programming

• Produce 4 hours of morning programming for the Fox Business Network in a high pressure environment• Extensively cover breaking company earnings news by including all critical information using banners, stock charts, video, and any other editorial elements• Oversee staff to ensure morning shows are topical and up-to-date• Produce numerous interview segments on a wide range of business stories of the day with a variety of live and in-studio guests

• Manage an entire staff of 25 to 30 employees including anchors, reporters, writers, remote and studio production crews to turn out a high-quality, award-winning newscast in the number one media market• Pitch news and enterprise stories to upper management and develop them into their final form for air• Establish a wide range of media and political contacts in the New York market • Write and copyedit scripts and teases, including crucial opening copy at the beginning of the newscast • Lead the writing staff by assigning stories and giving constructive criticism• Copyedit all scripts with an emphasis on accuracy and clarity while checking all elements for spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors
