Head of Loss Prevention – Loomis UK March 2010 to August 2012As Head of Loss Prevention for an International Cash and Valuables in Transit (CVIT) Company, I had responsibility for the development and implementation of the Risk Reduction Strategy incorporating specifically the following areas of responsibility;• Loss Reduction through raids and internal theft• Physical Security of the Company Estate consisting of 32 Cash Centres and 400 CVIT vehicles • ATM estate services• Surveillance Strategy• Line Management of a team of geographically based Loss Prevention Managers I represented the Company at key strategic stakeholder meetings including The Home Office CVIT Strategic Steering Group, the British Security Industry Association Transport Section, The British Retail Consortium CVIT Group and The National Cash Centre Security Group. I delivered risk reduction presentations to key partners in the Commercial and Law Enforcement sectors. Key Achievements• I restructured the National Loss Prevention Team to incorporate a wider variety of skills thus achieving a more flexible and professional support function for the business.• I reviewed and implemented changes to the company Risk Reduction Strategy which resulted in a 42% reduction in losses through raids, internal theft and a commensurate reduction in injuries to staff through raid reduction of 49%.• I delivered risk reduction presentations to prospective customers and assisted to win major contracts e.g. Selfridges, Body Shop and Sainsbury’s• I represented the company and BSIA and gave key media interviews on policy and physical security advances

Key Achievements• As Operational Head of The Flying Squad I delivered year on year reductions in commercial robbery.• Senior Investigating Officer on numerous operations against organised criminals including over 50 kidnaps.• I was a tactical advisor to ACPO in relation to Major Firearms Incidents.• Introduced and led the implementation of ‘Operation Vanguard’ recognized by The Home Office as ‘best practice’ partnership activity between law enforcement and the private sector (British Security Industry Association) which continues to achieve year on year reductions in commercial robbery.• I introduced and led the implementation of ‘The Safebet Alliance’ now adopted by The British Bookmakers Association as ‘best practice’.• I represented The MPS at Home Office Crime Reduction Forums.• Worked with CPS to adopt best practice submission of case files in relation to organised crime matters.
