I became the founding member of Stowell & Geweke, P.C., L.L.O. in 1972 and have been a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated Lawyer for more than 35 years.I have actively participated in Nebraska State Bar Association activities over the years to include serving six years on the House of Delegates and has served on Bar Committees to include Estate Planning, Nebraska Bank Attorneys, Law Practice and Management, Agricultural Law, Judicial Redistricting and Real Estate. I am a Nebraska Bar Foundation Fellow and have also spoke at Estate Planning, Bankruptcy, Probate and Trust, Agricultural Law and Real Estate seminars.Prior to graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Law College in 1972, I received my Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1965. Thereafter, I served as an Infantry officer at various posts in the U.S. and in the Republic of Vietnam (RVN) in 1966 – 1967. While in RVN I served as a platoon leader, battalion adjutant and operations office of The 173rd Airborne Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol. Decorations received were the Distinguished Service Cross, three air medals and The Bronze Star. I concluded my military service as an R.O.T.C. instructor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1971.Once returning to Ord, Nebraska in 1972, I have been active in church and community endeavors in Ord. Principal activities have included Economic and Community Development, Nebraska Community Foundation, Hospital Foundation, Nebraska’s Rural Development Commission, Rural Futures Institute Fellow and Advisory Committee, Ord Public School Board and numerous other church and civic organizations.
