Robert D. Sweeney is a trial lawyer who represents both plaintiffs and defendants in litigationmatters. Bob holds two record jury verdicts in Illinois—he obtained the largest jury verdicts inIllinois history for a defamation case (in 2016) and for a retaliation case (in 2012). Bob alsorecently obtained a jury verdict in favor of a corporate officer who was sued for breaching hisfiduciary duties after he plead guilty to felony theft from the corporation (2016).While in law school, Bob was awarded the prestigious Philip H. Corboy Fellowship in TrialAdvocacy and won the American College of Trial Lawyers National Championship.
